'Danseuse Endormi au Divan' is one of a series of ten lithographs produced by Matisse in 1927, each showing a dancer in various forms of rest. This striking lithograph depicts Henriette Darricarrère, who was a dancer, model, and a recurring muse to Matisse. Darricarrère is depicted in a tutu, draped across a divan, as she sleeps.
